Take The Toyota Sequoia TRD On An Off-Road Adventure

Sequoia TRD SUV in wilderness
The Toyota Sequoia always promises a comfortable passenger experience, and when you want to leave the pavement behind, there’s a Sequoia trim that’s ready to rumble. Check out how the 2023 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro model could be the off-road vehicle you need.

The Off-Road Adventurer

With the Sequoia TRD Pro trim, you can take the popular SUV off the beaten path. If there’s a campsite or outdoor destination that lies at the end of a dusty trail, this capable all-wheel-drive variation has what it takes to get you there. This model has the highest ground clearance of any 2023 Sequoia, and it also comes standard with sturdy skid plates to protect the underside of your vehicle when you encounter uneven terrain. The Sequoia TRD Pro also ups its off-road ante with additional adventure gear like heavy-duty shock absorbers, 33-inch all-terrain tires with 18-inch wheels, and a locking rear differential. This athletic variation also features LED marker lights, a roof rack, and LED-lit Toyota lettering on the grille.

Under the Hood

For 2023, the Toyota Sequoia runs on an i-Force Max hybrid system featuring a twin-turbocharged V6 engine long with an electric motor, battery, and 10-speed automatic transmission. Altogether, the powertrain generates a hearty 437 horsepower as well as 583 lb-ft of torque. When properly set up for towing, the 2023 Sequoia can tow up to 9,020 pounds.

On the Inside

When you opt for the Sequoia TRD Pro trim, you can enjoy a unique take on the SUV’s spacious three-row interior. Seats come with camo-accented leather upholstery, while the second row swaps out the bench seat for captain’s chairs. A heated steering wheel helps you get a grip in the colder months, while ventilated front seats allow you to keep your cool in the summertime. Handy tech includes popular features like wireless device charging and a large touchscreen.

The TRD Difference

When you see “TRD” emblazoned on a Toyota, you can be sure the vehicle has been optimized for engaging performance. TRD stands for Toyota Racing Development, which is the manufacturer’s factory-backed racing division. The models engineered by this division are fine-tuned for thrills behind the wheel, and the vehicles within the TRD Pro Series are designed to brave the wild with terrain-conquering traction, serious torque, and all the gear you need to navigate treacherous landscapes with confidence.

Redesigned for 2023

Toyota has totally redesigned the Sequoia for the 2023 model year. A new generation begins with a host of new features. Enjoy a comfortable cabin, a mighty engine, and reliable performance both on the pavement and in the wild.
